Jeremy Ross, “An Introduction to Cuban Piracy”

Jeremy Ross is a junior at the College and a history major. He focuses on Latin America, particularly during the Cold War. He will be researching the Guatemalan Civil War in Guatemala this summer for an honors thesis.

 Sloane Nilsen is a sophomore at the College of William & Mary, majoring in History and Global Studies with a concentration in European Studies. He looks to specialize in modern European history, with an emphasis on nationalism studies, architectural history, and historical memory.

Juliet Waters, from Dallas, Texas, is a junior at the College of William and Mary, majoring in Hispanic Studies with a minor in Art History. She will be studying abroad this summer in Cadiz, Spain and looks forward to furthering her knowledge of European empire and globalization while studying in Spain.
